Body Armour:

I already had the traditional motocross 'plastic shell' type body armour as well as a sports bike jacket and a touring jacket from my previous bikes. Despite this, I decided to splash out again on some SixSixOne body armour. It is much cooler (temperature wise) than wearing a jacket and more comfortable and easier to store than my motocross armour.

The suit is useful as it has elbow pads and fore-arm protection built into it, unlike motocross armour where they are separate.

You can see below the 'open weave' type fabric used in these suits which should help to keep me cool in the African heat.
